Volunteering

There are two ways in which you can volunteer with Leeway. The first being through fundraising or through work experience:

Help and Advice Line Volunteers Needed: Working with the outreach team you will be taking referrals and providing advice and support over the phone. The helpline currently operates between 9am and 8pm Monday to Friday and 11am to 4pm at weekends. We are looking for people to work a few hours on week days initially but this will eventually be extended. Requirements: An understanding of domestic abuse and the effects on women and children would be an advantage, however full training will be given.

Download a Volunteer Application Form or call us on 0845 241 2171 to make an enquiry.

Volunteer Training: Our courses are run according to numbers so please register your interest and we’ll be able to let you know when our next one is due.

Partnerships and Support

We are supported by Norfolk Social Services, Supporting People, Norwich City Council and Broadland District Council, members of Women’s Aid and Space East and also work in partnership with Norfolk Constabulary, the Domestic Violence Fora and Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships.
